Alongside my student placement and University Studies I have been able to work with clients on freelance projects. These projects have allowed me to develop communication skills while working with clients, as well as experience managing problems I have encountered along the way.

Durham Dales

The Durham Dales website was built for a family business who currently advertised already on sites such as Sykes Holiday Cottages and HomeAway. They hoped to use the website to advertise the cottages but also to inform guests of local attractions and restaurants in the area.

The website takes advantage of the stunning scenery surrounding the holiday cottages while also stating the most popular requirements people want to know about.

Mickleton Live

Mickleton Live is a community group who host music gigs in their local village hall “Bringing quality live music to Teesdale”. The group had no previous website and took all bookings either by telephone or face-to-face. By combining the HTML5 website with PayPal features we were able to create a much more convenient user journey for both customers and group organizers. The website now caters for over 95% of ticket purchases and received over two and a half thousand users during 2018.

The Village Halls Consortium

The Village Halls Consortium website presented me with a challenge having only recently become familiar with Content Management Systems. The website is host to over 26 village halls who wanted to host all events and hall information in one place to reach a larger audience. Therefore the website has been designed to allow halls to edit there events and information individually while shared on one platform.
